Courtney Young-Socher is a director, choreographer, performer and mother who has maintained a career in the arts forever three decades. Her professional credits include plays musicals, opera, concerts, and new works. She began her career as a performer appearing in eight Broadway shows and national tours, including: The Producers, Young Frankenstein, The Full Monty, Little Me, Cats, Fosse, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Radio City Rockettes.
As a director/choreographer, she has worked The National Opera (Kennedy Center), Casa MaƱana, Papermill Playhouse, City Center (Encores!) and more.
Courtney is an associate professor of musical theatre and dance at Ithaca College, where she has worked on productions of Twelfth Night: The Musical, Head Over Heels, Ragtime, Wonderful Town, The Cradle Will Rock, Winter Bodies and Sister Act.
